Funolio LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") operates Funolio at www.funolio.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (or OAuth profile data from Google).

AI Conversations: The core of Funolio — you store AI conversations including messages, metadata, action items, decisions, and related content. This is your data and you control it.

Usage Data: We collect standard usage data including pages visited, features used, timestamps, browser type, IP address, and device information to operate and improve the Service.

Payment Information: Payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number or payment credentials on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the Service
  • To process subscriptions and payments via Stripe
  • To generate semantic embeddings and search indexes for your conversations
  • To send service-related communications (account updates, security alerts)
  • To analyze aggregate usage patterns and improve the product
  • To respond to support requests

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your AI conversations to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
  • Google Cloud Platform — Infrastructure hosting (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL) in the US (us-central1 region).
  • Google Analytics — Anonymous usage analytics to understand how the Service is used.
  • Google OAuth — Optional sign-in method. We receive your name and email from Google; we do not access other Google data.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure in the United States (us-central1 region). We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted database connections, and secure authentication practices.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

  • Export: You can export your data at any time through the Service or via our API.
  • Deletion: You can delete individual conversations or request full account deletion. Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

6. Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

  • Authentication session cookie — Required for the Service to function. Maintains your login session.
  • Google Analytics cookies — Used for anonymous usage analytics. You can opt out using browser settings or the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

GDPR (European Users): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing of your personal data. We provide data export and deletion endpoints to facilitate these rights.

CCPA (California Residents): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
